环境保护类：减少浪费

Most people are aware of environment challenges facing our planet. Young people 
understand that cutting down on energy use and decreasing waste are necessary steps 
towards curbing climate change and preventing energy shortages. As is known in cartoon, 
two people in suits are walking proudly from dinner table which is full of all kinds of leftovers, 
such as fish, pork, chicken, lobsters and so on. The caption reads that” RMB 200 billion are 
wasted every year”.For environment-cautious students seeking to make a positive difference on their campuses, 
the simplest and best approach is to follow the three R’s: reduce, reuse, recycle. The first R 
stands for “reduce”. Student can reduce waste and cutting down energy usage on campuses 
in many ways. For instances, energy usage can be limited by turning off computers before 
going to bed and remembering to turning off light before leaving a room. The second of 
three R is “reuse”. Many products used on campuses such as “spoons, chopsticks”, are 
available in both single-use and reusable. Whenever possible, we should choose reusable 
products over disposable ones. The thirds R stands for “recycle”. With recycling bins placed 
across many campuses, it is easier than ever before for student to recycle.High waste level contributes to energy depletion and environment degradation. We should 
all do our part to response to environment challenge that we face on planet. For college 
students, following the Three R is simple but effective ways to reduce waste and make the
world a greener place.
